[gui-dev] How is it with bounties?

Hi,
Could anyone say how does the procedure with bounties work? I mean how
the bounties are accepted, paid, etc.?

For example I've done the firewall indicator
(http://www.limewire.org/pipermail/gui-dev/2005-May/001988.html), but it
was in text form. I see that there is now a graphical indicator. So was
my patch committed and later improved or was it dropped and the
indicator was made from stretch?

Now I have make again the feature "Ability to send download filename to
search box" (there was merged a branch with re-engineered download pop
up menu, so I had to do fit it into the new class). If the patch is
accepted, am I going to know about it?

I think it would be nice to write some kind of rules on your bounties
pages, so people know how it really works. Maybe it would be a good idea
to create a bug per a new feature - it is easy to track state of an item
then.

Best regards,

It depends how you look at it. Isn't it confusing for you if you do
something and you do not know if it was used? Now if you add money to
this, the confusion becomes even bigger. I simply think that rules
should be clear to avoid those confusions.

Marcin
