The following issue has been created:
Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GUI-2
Summary: Problem in the Magnet-Uri Implementation, filenames with two periods.
Type: Bug
Status: Open
Priority: Major
Project: gui
Components:
download
Versions:
4.0.6
Assignee: Sam Berlin
Reporter: Arne Babenhauserheide
Created: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 1:40 PM
Updated: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 1:40 PM
Environment: MacOSX 10.3.4
Description:
Magnets in which the download-name contains more than one period don't work with LimeWire (tested against Acquisition 110.1 which names itself LimeWire 4.0.5).
For example the following magnet doesn't work:
magnet:?xt=urn:sha1:FXWVFDN2VT26RCSWLT5T2T7QIILVRA36&dn=Acquisition110.2.dmg&xs=http://edrikor.dyndns.org:9845/uri-res/N2R?urn:sha1:FXWVFDN2VT26RCSWLT5T2T7QIILVRA36&as=http://xlife.org/files_NotForMacUpdate_NOR_VersionTracker/Acquisition110.2.dmg
The download pane simply doesn't accept the download.
By replacing one of the dots with a "-" the magnet is being accepted:
magnet:?xt=urn:sha1:FXWVFDN2VT26RCSWLT5T2T7QIILVRA36&dn=Acquisition110-2.dmg&as=http://xlife.org/files_NotForMacUpdate_NOR_VersionTracker/Acquisition110.2.dmg&xs=http://edrikor.dyndns.org:9845/uri-res/N2R?urn:sha1:FXWVFDN2VT26RCSWLT5T2T7QIILVRA36
