Someone at LimeWire (Katie Catillaz) committed into the repository a garbled
version of the Japanese MessageBundle, apparently created with a tool that
attempted to translate the complete file, including comments or even
sometimes the resource keys (all those should not have been translated).
The result is a lot of modified lines that contain both the old version and
the "new" version surrounded by "{0>" and "<0}" sequences.
As I don't have the original source I can't predict which corrections are
necessary. The currently commited version was synchronized and then the
translation status page shows now incorrect status for Japanese.
Unfortunately, this garbled version is gone into the 4.9.9 beta.
Consider correcting this, or revert to the previous version, before making
any new release.
Currently the .properties file is reverted but not the UTF-8.txt file, so if
you use "native2ascii -encoding UTF-8 -reverse" to regenerate the .UTF-8.txt
file, it will show the old version without the proposed changes that are
currently committed for the UTF-8.txt file...
Please ask to Katie Catillaz what she wanted to do there, and if she has
kept the source for her changes...
